Stevedoring

Through our sister company, Portroe Stevedores Limited, we became involved in Stevedoring in the wake of the Dublin Cargo Handling Ltd liquidation.

Portroe Stevedores Limited is licensed to operate within Dublin port and provide Stevedoring services. The company has grown steadily since 1992. The company started out with a few Forklift trucks and compact rack loaders and today have a range of equipment second to none in Ireland.

Equipment is not much use without dedicated personnel to operate it and maintain it and the company has also invested heavily in personnel. As a result it is common knowledge that Portroe Stevedores operates the most efficient terminal in Dublin port.

Portroe Stevedores lImited since 1992 have invested over EUR 20 million in cargo handling equipment and second handling equipment. The company have recently taken delivery of their 4th Harbor Mobile Crane at a cost of EUR 3 million.

In June 2003 the company opened a second office within the port to look after the new Container Terminal.

Portroe are the only independent operator within Dublin port
